Key messages 25 April
Elections 1 May 2025
- Don't forget to cast your vote in the upcoming county council elections on Thursday 1 May.
- Remember you will need to show valid photo ID to vote at a polling station.
- Stay updated with all the results on 2 May on our Elections website.
- Verification of votes will begin at 10am, followed by the counting process. The first results are expected to be announced shortly after 12 noon.
April 2025 staff check-in survey
- The April 2025 check-in survey is open until 30 April.
- Please share this with your teams and encourage them to take part.
- The survey is anonymous, with a few simple questions that take only a few minutes to complete.
- These check-ins are part of the commitment to hearing staff voices and responding to the 2024 staff survey results. You can view the results from the January 2025 check-in survey here.
Employee conferences 14 May
- The next employee conference will take place on Wednesday 14 May at County Hall. You can book your place here.
- This session will include an update on Local Government Reorganisation, the county council election results, the relaunch of our employee networks and updates from each directorate on our priorities for the year ahead.
- The session will be available to watch online. A link will be provided on the day via staff news.
Interim Director of Finance
- Julie Crellin has been appointed as the council's Interim Director of Finance and S151 Officer.
- Julie will take up the role from 29 April and will replace Noel O'Neill who left his interim assignment on 31 March.
- Julie has a wealth of Local Government financial experience and specifically with county councils too.
- We will be advertising for the permanent role at the end of April with the intention of an appointment over the summer months.
