Cabinet met Thursday 9 October at County Hall to discuss several issues and take some important decisions affecting our work.
Agenda items included:
Lancashire County Council Improvement Plan 2025-2027 – Cabinet agreed the plan which highlighted critical areas of improvement for the county council for 2025-27.
Property strategy principles – Cabinet agreed the principles for managing and developing the county council's land and property assets over the next five years.
Provider services redesign – Cabinet agreed to approve the initiation of a review of Older People and Disability Provider Services (Lancashire County Council in-house provision) in Adult Social Care, to determine their appropriateness and suitability for Lancashire residents.
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Strategy - Cabinet approved the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Strategy 2025-28.
Lancashire County Council has signed an exciting new agreement with UK-based software company Netcall to support our digital transformation journey.
Netcall’s AI-powered platform, Liberty, will help us deliver a modern, multilingual ‘digital front door’ - making it easier for people to access public services in the way that suits them best, whether that’s online, in person, by phone or through social media.
This new system will improve customer engagement and streamline service delivery across the county, helping us build a more inclusive, efficient and user-friendly experience for everyone.
Lancashire Combined County Authority - Transport Plan public consultation
We’re inviting everyone who lives in, works in or visits Lancashire to have their say on our draft Local Transport Plan for Lancashire.
The Local Transport Plan sets out how an area intends to improve travel and transport in the future.
Once finalised, the Local Transport Plan will guide decisions about all types of travel, including walking, cycling, buses, trains, cars and freight – helping to create a transport network that works for everyone.
