Parking at County Hall

Councillors' Car Park

Car parking is available for County Councillors in the Inner Courtyard and Bow Lane Car Park from 7.30am until 7.45pm Monday to Friday. There is a dedicated councillors' car park, which is accessed via the Gatehouse on Arthur Street. Councillors should indicate who they are, on arrival at the Gatehouse and will be signposted to available parking. On busy days, such as Full Council and Cabinet days, councillors may be directed to park on the Bow Lane Car park by officers in the Gatehouse.

Arthur Street Car Park and Ribble Street Car Park

Councillors can also park in all LCC spaces within the main staff car parks on Arthur Street and Ribble Street, subject to availability. Access to the main staff car parks is via your identity card, which you will be issued with at the Welcome Event.

Blue Badge Holders – Parking on the inner courtyard

A number of disabled car parking bays are located within the inner courtyard for officers and councillors who are blue badge holders to accommodate mobility issues accessing the building.

Blue badge holders will always be given priority parking to disabled bays within the inner Courtyard. Although spaces cannot be reserved, officers located in the Gatehouse, will make every effort to accommodate all councillors who are Blue Badge holders or have a reasonable adjustment (either temporary or permanent) to accommodate mobility issues in place; within the inner courtyard to access a level entry into the building.

To help facilitate this, councillors requiring parking in the inner courtyard should advise the Gatehouse on arrival and should endeavour to arrive earlier to allow sufficient time to park up and access the building.
