Adult Services refer a friend scheme

We've started a new refer a friend scheme where you can earn some extra money by referring someone to work in any of our permanent Adult Services jobs.

If they are successful in getting a job and work for us for at least six months, you'll receive £500 and so will they!

The adult services refer a friend scheme is open to all permanent Lancashire County Council employees.

The vacancies it will apply to will include any Adult Services roles that are being advertised on our vacancies webpage at the time.  These roles include Social Workers, Support Workers, Residential Care Assistants, Business Support Officers and Occupational Therapists. Adult Services jobs can be found on our vacancies page.

You know what it's like to work for us, so we want you to be involved in recruiting like-minded people.

If you know someone who would enjoy working for us as much as you do, tell them about our vacancies and our new refer a friend scheme. If they apply and are successful, you will both get a welcome payment of £500.

The payment is split, so you'll both get 50% of the welcome payment the month after they officially start their role, and a further 50% once they have completed six months' service.

All they need to do is to state your name under 'Referred by' on their application, and then you'll both receive £500 as a thank you. We'll verify this once they are appointed.

Payments will be made automatically.

Terms and conditions

• The refer a friend scheme will cover all Adult Services roles from January 2024 until the end of June 2024.
• All permanent Lancashire County Council employees will be able to refer a friend to any of the Adult Services roles, with the exception of agency workers and employees from the Recruitment/Talent Acquisition Teams.
