Lancaster Services

Service 83  Brookhouse – Caton – Morecambe

From 4 May 2026 Lonsdale Buses will revise the route and timetable to additionally serve Asda at Lancaster Salt Ayre.  The timetable will be revised to facilitate the route diversion, with the frequency reduced to approximately every 90 minutes.

Preston, South Ribble and Chorley Services

Service 46  Preston – Woodplumpton – Broughton – Goosnargh – Longridge

From 31 May 2026, Lancashire County Council will revise the route, adjusting the service between Preston City Centre and Blackpool Road to operate via University of Lancashire and Brook Street, instead of Garstang Road.  This follows customer requests to restore the direct link to the University.  On Brook Street, only the bus stops adjacent to Blackpool Road will be served.

There are no changes to the overall timetable and Vision Bus will continue to operate the service on behalf of Lancashire County Council.

Service 111  Moss Side – Leyland – Lostock Hall – Preston – Cadley – Tanterton

From 31 May 2026 Stagecoach will revise the route and timetable, extending the service at both ends to additionally serve the new Centurian Village housing development, beyond Moss Side, and within Preston extending to Tanterton via University of Lancashire, Plungington Road, Cadley Causeway and Ingol.

Service 112  Preston – Bamber Bridge – Clayton Brook – Leyland – Midge Hall

From 31 May 2026 Lancashire County Council will revise the route and timetable, revising the service to operate through the new Centurian Village housing development at Midge Hall, serving Titan Way and Steer Street, instead of Reiver Way, between Comet Road and Roadtrain Avenue.  There will be minor timing adjustments at Midge Hall to accommodate the diverted route.

Service 125  Bolton – Horwich – Chorley – Bamber Bridge – Preston – Royal Preston Hospital

From 31 May 2026 Stagecoach will revise the timetable, providing additional early morning and later evening Monday to Friday journeys serving Royal Preston Hospital.

Service 125R Chorley – Adlington – Rivington circular

From 3 May 2026 Lancashire County Council, utilising Bus Grant funding from HM Government, will reintroduce this seasonal service linking Chorley, Adlington and Rivington.  The route in Adlington will be revised to serve Adlington Railway Station, where train connections can be made, in addition to Chorley Interchange.

The service will operate every hour daytime Sundays and Bank Holidays from 3 May 2026 until 1 November 2026.

Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre services

Service 21  Cleveleys – Blackpool – St.Annes

From 14 April 2026, Transporabus will reinstate this service for the summer season running through to 29 October 2026.

West Lancs services

Service 300  Liverpool – Haskayne – Halsall – Southport

From 19 April 2026, Arriva will revise the timetable, adjusting some Monday to Friday journey times between Liverpool and Maghull to improve service reliability.

Upcoming Bank Holidays

Bus Services will be operating revised service levels over the Easter Bank Holidays.

On Good Friday 3 April and Easter Monday 6 April 2026, services will generally be running to a Sunday timetable.

Services will operate as normal on all other days over this period.

On bank holidays, most bus service providers generally operate a 'Sunday' service on their routes.

Lancashire County Council's supported bus services will operate a Sunday service on the following Bank Holiday dates:

  • 3 April – Good Friday
  • 6 April – Easter Monday
  • 4 May – May Bank Holiday
  • 25 May – Spring Bank Holiday
  • 31 August - Summer Bank Holiday
