Lancaster Services

Service L1      Lancaster Caton Road Park & Ride – City Centre – Royal Infirmary

From 6 July 2026 Lancashire County Council will revise the timetable, adjusting the frequency to operate up to every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday daytime.  The times of the first and last buses will be unchanged and there will be no changes to the route.

The adjustment of the timetable follows the cessation of the agreement with the NHS to provide the second vehicle required to enhance service frequency.

The flat fares will also be revised as follows:

Adult Day Return – from £2.00 to £2.50

Child Day Return – from £1.00 to £1.25

Weekly Ticket – from £8.00 to £10.00

Group Day Ticket – from £5.00 to £6.50

Service 85      Lancaster – Morecambe – Carnforth

From 6 July 2026 Lonsdale Buses will revise the route and timetable, extending the service from Morecambe through to Lancaster, direct via Morecambe Road.  In Carnforth, the service will be extended to additionally serve the Windermere Road Estate.

The timetable will be revised to operate every two hours Monday to Saturday daytime.

Preston, South Ribble and Chorley Services

Service P1      Preston – Walton-le-Dale Park & Ride

From 6 July 2026 Lancashire County Council will revise the flat fares as follows:

Adult Day Return – from £2.00 to £2.50

Child Day Return – from £1.00 to £1.25

Weekly Ticket – from £8.00 to £10.00

Group Day Ticket – from £5.00 to £6.50

There are no changes to the route or timetable.

Preston Bus Summer Holiday Revisions

From 20 July 2026 Preston Bus will introduce revised running times on Services 6, 8, 16, 19/19A, 23 & 35 during the school summer holiday period.

Service 115    Preston – Longton – Croston – Leyland – Buckshaw – Chorley

From 29 June 2026 Lancashire County Council will revise the route in Moss Side to serve Dunkirk Lane instead of Slater Lane.  This minor route adjustment will maintain bus service access to those bus stops on Dunkirk Lane following Stagecoach's recent route revision to their Service 111.

 

Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre services

Resort Rider Service 1  Fleetwood – Cleveleys – Blackpool – St.Annes

From 20 June 2026, Blackpool Transport will revise the route and timetable extending the service through to St.Annes.  The service will operate in conjunction with new Service 2 between Fleetwood and Blackpool.

Resort Rider Service 2  Fleetwood – Cala Gran – Cleveleys – Blackpool – Blackpool Zoo

From 20 June 2026, Blackpool Transport will introduce this new seasonal service.  Running in conjunction with Service 1, between Fleetwood and Blackpool, and additionally serving Cala Gran Holiday Park, continuing to Blackpool Zoo.  This new service will operate daily daytime up to every hour.

On bank holidays, most bus service providers generally operate a 'Sunday' service on their routes.

Lancashire County Council's supported bus services will operate a Sunday service on the following Bank Holiday dates:

  • 3 April – Good Friday
  • 6 April – Easter Monday
  • 4 May – May Bank Holiday
  • 25 May – Spring Bank Holiday
  • 31 August - Summer Bank Holiday
