Group tours and visits

Tours of Lancashire Archives

Arrangements may be made for groups of between 12 and 25 people to visit Lancashire Archives. This can be an opportunity to learn at first hand how the service works and to see behind the scenes. The visit may include an introductory talk, a tour of part of the building, and an exhibition of original documents, possibly including local material, by arrangement with the member of staff hosting the visit. Strongroom tours may also be possible.

Arranging a Visit

Requests and arrangements should be made in writing several months in advance. Because of the high demand we are at present only able to accommodate educational or community groups.

Contact us to plan a visit.

Talks

General talks on the work of Lancashire Archives may be given to particular groups or organisations. At present we cannot attend outside events in the evening or at weekends.

Use of archives by the Media

Television companies and local news media seeking to use the archives or facilities at Lancashire Archives should contact us regarding our media access policy.
