All priority routes in Lancaster, Wyre and Fylde Districts were patrolled and gritted yesterday

Snow and sub-zero temperatures were forecast yesterday with a risk of ice. All priority routes were patrolled and salted through the snow fall with a full treatment of all routes in the early evening once the snow had cleared.

See our online gritting map for details of our priority routes.

Priority routes only cover a third of the highway network and ice patches can develop on treated surfaces caused by water run-off from fields or other sources. Ice is most likely on untreated surfaces.
