Who is this course for?
Staff with responsibility for preparing and generating the statutory school census return who also have a working knowledge of SIMS.
This course provides the opportunity to remote into your own workstation to prepare, create and correct validation errors. If you wish to take up the opportunity to remote into your own workstation you must ensure that you are on the latest versions of SIMS applicable to the Census Return.
Aims
Learn how to prepare for the census return and create a return, correcting any validation errors.
Objectives
At the end of the course participants will be able to:
- create and validate a return
- correct any validation errors by editing individual pupil records or by using bulk update
- prepare data for the return
- authorise a return
- generate detailed reports
- generate a summary of the census
