Overview

Since the early stages of the Covid-19 outbreak in the UK, Government has provided local authorities with significant financial support to meet a range of additional costs they are likely to incur in meeting their statutory responsibilities.

The intention, reinforced by LGA, ADASS and Care England, was that a proportion of this extra money should be used by councils to fund the introduction of new measures to provide financial support to independent and voluntary sector adult social care providers in their areas.

The primary objectives of these financial arrangements during the Pandemic are to ensure that Lancashire adult social care providers are supported. Lancashire County Council has introduced the following four programmes of financial assistance to meet the additional costs providers face during these challenging times.
