Meet a fantasy author in a Lancashire library

Wednesday, October 31, 2018

A fantasy fiction writer who recently launched her debut novel will visit Coppull Library this week.

Sophie Edwards will be at the library on Saturday 3 November from 11am to 12 noon for a special free event.

The author will be talking about her first book, speaking with visitors at the event and signing copies of the debut novel, 'Mage: The Guardian's Oath – The Nephilium Lands Book 1.'

The debut novel is a magical fantasy filled with action, adventure and twists and turns. The main character, Clara, is taken into the midst of a centuries-old conflict. Clara's struggles to understand the world around her and her place within it will have meaning for anyone who has experienced struggles of their own.

County Councillor Peter Buckley, Lancashire County Council's cabinet member for community and cultural services, said: "I'm sure that readers of fantasy, magic and make-believe adventure will enjoy this book.

"I hope that the debut novel goes well."

It is free to attend the event, but tickets are limited and must be booked in advance.

Sophie now lives in Lancashire, and is originally from Northumberland.

Tickets for the events can be booked online at bit.ly/sophieedwards, or by calling in at the library.
