Benches installed at Euxton Library

Two new benches, one of which is a specially designed 'book' bench, have been installed at Euxton Library.

Youngsters from Euxton Primrose Hill School helped to design the book bench, which will form part of Chorley Borough Council's reading trail around the area.
The benches installation was made possible via funding from Lancashire County Council and Healthy Streets Euxton, Euxton Parish Council, Chorley Council and Friends of Euxton Library.
The county council is also set to cover future maintenance costs for the benches.
Councillor Aidy Riggott, lead member for Economic Development and Cultural Services, who was at the official launch of the benches, said: "I hope people in Euxton will make use of these benches.
"I'd particularly like to thank the children from Euxton Primrose Hill School for their creativity in helping to design the 'book' bench which looks tremendous."
