• To explore the importance of Oracy within subject disciplines.
• To explore quick and easy practical teaching strategies for developing Oracy.

If, as James Britton said, quality reading and writing "floats on a sea of talk”, how can quality student talk be supported in the classroom? Oracy is not just an invaluable life skill but a fundamental part of ensuring academic success across the curriculum.

This session is suitable for all ECTs who are looking to provide a myriad of practical approaches to supporting quality student talk across the curriculum.

This course is provided at no charge for all ECTs registered with Lancashire County Council as the Appropriate Body as part of our ECT Package, however the full course fee of £45 will be charged in the event of non-attendance or where the ECT is registered with a different Appropriate Body.
