Covid winter grant scheme – Easter voucher issues
Over the past few days, some of the families who have been offered vouchers to help with food and bills under the Covid Winter Grant Scheme have been unable to access their vouchers because the codes haven't worked.
This appears to be the result of an administrative error which we are currently investigating.
We are so sorry this has happened. It isn't acceptable that people who have been promised these vouchers have then been unable to access them - and we want to fix it as quickly as possible.
We are therefore asking people who haven't been able to download their voucher to email us at this address: firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
- Recipient's name
- Full address
- Voucher number
- Letter reference (this is at the top of your letter and begins with the letters CWG)
We will then be able to send you the correct code to allow you to download your voucher.
Check your spam or junk mail folders if your email hasn't arrived.
The Covid Winter Grant Scheme provides these vouchers to eligible Lancashire families and individuals who are most in need, including families who receive free school meals, young adults who have recently left care, and teenagers in care who are living semi-independently.
We want to be clear – this should not have happened, and we apologise again for letting you down.
We will carry out a full investigation to find out what has gone wrong and do all we can to prevent something like this happening again.
