This intermediate course has been designed as a progression from the First Aid for Children and Babies (Beginners) course. Learners will build on the previous knowledge and skills gained to enable them to confidently carry out first aid on children and babies. This is not an accredited course, however a certificate of attendance will be provided by Lancashire Adult Learning. There are options to progress onto accredited Level 3 Paediatric First Aid courses and this can be arranged with the teacher on the day. Demonstrate competency in carrying out a Primary Survey, delivering 2 minutes of effective Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and relieving an obstructed airway. Recognise and respond to a casualty that is bleeding and in shock. Recognise and respond to a casualty who is burnt or having a seizure.
This event is free to all adults over 19, but booking is required. Please note, there are no childcare or creche facilities provided.
