Tuesday, 13 March 2018 from 13:15 - 15:00
Join our friendly group where, each week, we read and discuss a short story together, plus poems. You can join in with the discussions, or just sit back and relax. You can also bring your own writings if you like! Includes free refreshments of tea and biscuits.
All our Shared Reading Groups use the same approach - typically the group will read together a short story and a poem during the session. Chatting is a big part of the group - with the emphasis being on "what it means to me", but there is no pressure to join in. Groups are ideal for those with visual impairments, dyslexia or other difficulties with reading or concentration but equally groups are also enjoyed by anyone who occasionally likes to take time over their reading and to discuss it with others.
No ticket is required for this event. Free admission ~ just drop in.
You might also be interested in.... We also have lots of Reading Groups meeting in our Libraries, where we regularly all read the same book and chat about our thoughts and feelings. A reading group is a great way of sharing the love of reading and inspiring you to try something different.
This event is free, no ticket required.
