Cabinet reports and decisions
8 March 2018 – decision to approve the proposal
7 December 2017 – cabinet report and decision to consult and publish statutory notice
Carr Hill High School and Sixth Form Centre approached the local authority in September 2017 and informed us of their wish to consult on the future of their post 16 provision due to concerns about its financial and educational viability. Carr Hill High School and Sixth Form Centre has low and reducing student numbers and a narrowing curriculum offer in its sixth form, both of which are impacting on the financial viability of the school.
As a result of these discussions, cabinet made the decision for the Lancashire County Council to proceed with the proposal.
