Lancashire Community Food Grant Scheme

The Community Food Grant Scheme is a small grants programme for community groups within Lancashire. The scheme is aimed at local organisations within the voluntary, community and faith sector that deliver projects to tackle food insecurity.

In total, a fund of £45,000 has been allocated. During the first round of funding in December 2020 there were 35 successful applications, which received a total of £32,715 from the Community Food Grant Scheme.

Money available in round 2

There is funding of £12,285 available in Round 2. Groups can apply for up to £1,000 to support projects that provide emergency food and / or tackle food insecurity, focusing on supporting those most in need.

Funding can be used on:

  • Equipment
  • Venue hire
  • Training
  • Volunteer expenses

Lead applicants can only submit one application in each funding round, however, a lead applicant can be a partner in separate applications in the same funding round.

Applicants who were successful in Round 1 are ineligible for funding in Round 2.

The application deadline is Friday 19th February 2021. Any applications received after 19th February will not be processed in the current round of funding.
