Lancashire Community Food Grant Scheme

The Community Food Grant Scheme is a small grants programme for community groups within Lancashire. The scheme is aimed at local organisations within the voluntary, community and faith sector that deliver projects to tackle food insecurity.

During 2020-21 two rounds of funding for the Lancashire Community Food Grant Scheme were held.  In total, 45 organisations were successful in applying for funding, which totalled £42,000.

In summer 2021 another round of funding was held, in which £28,000 of funding was granted to the 31 successful applicants.

Funding available in 2022

There is now additional funding in the region of £20,000 available for the remainder of 2021-22 financial year.  Groups can apply for up to £1,000 to support projects that provide emergency food and / or tackle food insecurity, focusing on supporting those most in need.

Funding can be used on:

  • Food

Applicants who have previously received funding from the Lancashire Community Food Grant Scheme are eligible to apply, as long as they have completed and returned the project progress report for their grant.
