Testing for businesses
Businesses of all sizes across Lancashire, where staff cannot work from home during lockdown, can now access workplace testing for employees not showing symptoms.
How to register for workplace testing
There are two options for businesses in Lancashire to register for workplace testing, a local and a national scheme.
Option 1: Register your workplace for rapid testing with Lancashire County Council
We will support you and your organisation through the training, setting up your test area, testing and results follow up process until 30 June 2021.
Sign up below and when we receive your details, we will be in touch to discuss your options for providing testing for your employees in more detail with you.
You can find out more about the process on the following pages of this guide.
Option 2: The national testing scheme
The deadline for registering with the national scheme to order free rapid lateral flow tests was 12 April 2021.
If you’ve already registered with the national scheme, you will be provided with an eight digit UON (Unique Organisation Number). This means that you should contact the national scheme or your approved provider directly for any queries and support with the scheme.
You can continue to order free rapid lateral flow tests until 30 June 2021 to either use in the workplace or for your employees to collect and take home, through the national scheme.
If you’ve not already registered you can no longer order free tests, nationally.
However, there are two other options:
- pay an approved provider to provide tests or run a test site for you
- ask your employees to get a rapid lateral flow test to do at home or at a test site on NHS.UK
