(Updated Sept 2021)

School travel and school bus services

As we return to school this September please keep up to date on school travel and school bus services by checking our website for information.  You can also find our more about travelling to school in Lancashire.

Disruption to bus and rail services

Stop, think and plan before using public transport

The latest information on travelling is available at gov.uk website.

With the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there may be some disruption or changes to bus and rail services. Please follow government advice and travel safely by walking and cycling, if you can. This will help maintain capacity on public transport for key workers and essential travel. For details of any changes, please visit the bus operators websites.

Hands, face and space

You can also help control coronavirus by:

  • working from home where possible
  • washing or sanitising your hands regularly
  • keeping your distance when you travel, where possible
  • avoiding the busiest routes, as well as busy times like the rush hour

For the latest information and guidance on using public transport, visit the government website

Face coverings on public transport

(Updated July 2021)

To help protect others, please continue to wear a face covering on our stations and on public transport unless exempt.

Thank you for being considerate of other customers and our colleagues.

You can find more information on the government guidance for passengers on GOV.UK.

When using public transport, practice social distancing and where possible please buy tickets online or use contactless payments. Please remember to wash your hands before and after travelling.

Bus Services

Our bus operators throughout Lancashire have been working hard to ensure passengers have as clean and safe a journey as possible during the pandemic. Extra cleaning measures have been put into place, and available seating has been reduced to allow social distancing.

Before travelling, please check your bus operator's website for the latest travel information and bus times.
