Coronavirus: Adult care services
(Updated 27 March 2020)
We have ceased all visits from families, friends and relatives to Lancashire County Council run care homes.
There are 16 residential homes affected across the county.
This measure is to ensure the risk of Coronavirus being brought into the homes is reduced.
Other residential homes not run by the county council will make their own arrangements. You will need to contact care providers for details.
Adult Disability Services
Further to the latest government advice on coronavirus and reduced numbers of people using services, we are making the following changes.
Short Break Services
There are still some circumstances where carers will need to take a break from their caring role and for emergency situations, we are keeping three services open in:
The services that are temporarily closing are:
- Flyde and Wyre
- Worden Lane in Leyland
- Gloucester Avenue in Accrington
- Croasdale Drive in Clitheroe
- West Lancs in Skelmersdale
These closures will be in place for at least three weeks.
All our disability day services will now close for at least three weeks following the latest Government advice on the Coronavirus outbreak.
Letters have been sent to all parent carers to inform of these changes and with a contact number for any queries.
