We've received the Personal Outcomes Evaluation Toolkit (POET) annual survey report from the charity In-Control. Children, young people, families and practitioners across Lancashire were invited to contribute to a national survey to help local areas understand the impact of the special educational needs and disability (SEND) reforms.
The report helps the Lancashire SEND Partnership pin point what’s working well and areas for improvement with the new education health and care (EHC) plan. Most importantly, it identifies whether they have made a difference to children and young people’s lives.
The survey is still open and you can complete it online using one of these links:
It only takes 15 minutes and will have a huge impact on the way services are shaped and delivered across Lancashire.
We'll continue to publish further findings from the survey each academic year and what we'll be doing again in 2019. If you are interested in working with us to consider the results and identify any actions, please contact us.
For any queries or alternative formats contact the SEND Service at Find@lancashire.gov.uk or 01772 532509.
