Parking
Arthur Street offers parking every Saturday, Sunday and Bank holidays in December, pay and display charges apply.
Parking is also available at Preston bus station car park.

Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC)
Our Recycling Centres will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Visit our Household Waste Recycling Centres website to find out when we are open during the Christmas period.
Libraries
All our libraries will be closed on bank and public holidays. There are additional closures on extra statutory dates.

Lancaster Castle guided tours
Due to major refurbishment works taking place in the Shire Hall Complex, we have suspended our guided tours at Lancaster Castle until Spring 2021. Bookable courtyard tours are available from Saturday 2 January 2021. Find out more and book your place.
Registration service
Opening times for registration and certificates services will be reduced over Christmas and New Year.
You can use our registration website to register births, deaths or book an notice appointment while our offices are closed.
