What is the local offer?

The local offer has information about the support and services you can get if you have special educational needs or a disability.

It is for children and young people up to age 25 and their families.

You can find Lancashire's local offer at www.lancashire.gov.uk/send.

If you don't have access to the internet at home you can get help to access it at some libraries and schools. If you’d like updates on SEND support and activities in Lancashire, you can subscribe to our free SEND newsletter. If you'd like to receive updates from the local offer you can also find lots of information on our local offer Facebook page.

The following short film from the Council for Disabled Children talks about the local offer which is part of the new SEND law that came in on 1 September 2014.
