Selected priority routes in Wyre, Fylde & Lancaster will be gritted this evening.

This afternoon will see a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers, some of which may be on the heavy side. A mixture of sunny spells and showers will continue through this evening and tonight, and will become increasingly wintry, particularly after midnight. Snow is possible at most levels during heavier showers, but accumulations will tend to be confined above 200m. Road Surface Temperatures will also fall to around or below zero widely, particularly where snow falls and/or settled. Even on lower routes, RSTs may sporadically dip below zero in any hail showers. Showers are expected to increase in frequency and intensity through tomorrow morning, although the risk of snow accumulations will diminish.
