North Lancashire

All priority routes in Lancaster, Wyre and Fylde districts will be gritted this evening.

Mainly dry this afternoon with just a small chance of an isolated light shower. Dry with lengthy clear spells for much of the night, but cloud will build from the north-west later in the night. The cloud may be thick enough locally towards morning to produce just a little drizzle or sleet. Road surface temperatures falling below zero with the risk of hoar frost and icy patches where roads are damp, although most roads will be dry. Staying cloudy and mostly dry tomorrow morning, but there will still be a small risk of just the odd spot of light drizzle or sleet.

Please drive carefully.

See our online gritting map for details of our priority routes.

Priority routes only cover a third of the highway network and ice patches can develop on treated surfaces caused by water run-off from fields or other sources. Ice is most likely on untreated surfaces
