All Priority routes in Lancaster, Wyre and Fylde Districts will be gritted this evening

The forecast is for this afternoon be cold and sunny. This evening and overnight, many parts of the county will remain clear and dry, allowing it to become very cold. However, a few snow showers will drift westwards into the Pennines from around 2300/0000. These will produce local accumulations of up to 1cm. road surface temperatures will widely fall below zero, with the risk of ice and hoar frost. Friday morning will see most of any lingering showers die out, leaving dry and fine conditions.
