All Priority routes in Lancaster, Wyre and Fylde Districts will be gritted this evening

This afternoon will see a mixture of sunshine and scattered showers drifting in from the north west. Showers will continue into this evening for much of the region, turning wintry across some of the Pennine routes. However across the far north-east of the area they will start to become increasingly isolated with some lengthier dry and clear spells developing. During the course of the night showers will gradually start to clear away to the south, with much of the region becoming dry from 0100hrs onwards. Clear spells developing although some patchy cloud may drift into west at times. road surface temperatures falling below zero in most places, with hoar frost and icy patches forming, although some places further west may just hold above especially where any patchy cloud lingers. Mostly dry with sunny spells tomorrow morning.
