Volunteer Opportunities

Public services no longer work in isolation to deliver services but welcome the involvement of Volunteers who provide the "added value". Together we can form a united front that will help combat social isolation.

Lancashire County Council currently has over 400 registered volunteers who provide companionship and befriending to socially isolated adults in their local community.

We cover the whole of Lancashire, so no matter where you live we will endeavour to find a suitable placement for you. You can make a difference to the lives of others by giving up just a little of your free time.

Volunteers, are of all ages, come from different social and cultural backgrounds including those who are working, studying or looking for a career change. Whatever your age or personal circumstances you can become a volunteer, as long as you have the commitment.
