Location
The Portway park and ride is split over two sites, Portway and Hartington Road. The Portway site is accessed off Portway.
The Hartington Road site is closed from 7pm on Saturday 15 January 2022 until further notice to assist the Environment Agency whilst they work on their nearby Flood Risk Management Scheme.
Reasons to use
Avoid the stress of city centre parking with 390 spaces available across both car parks. With buses travelling between the site and the City Centre, the park and ride takes you straight into the heart of Preston.
The site is only intended for parking when using the bus service. Parking is not permitted if not using the bus service.
Opening times
The Portway park and ride site is open Monday to Saturday from 7am and Sunday from 9:13am, until shortly after the last bus from the city centre arrives on the site.
Bus service and opening times
The number 100 bus serves the Portway car park with boarding and alighting from the bus shelter on the larger Portway car park.
Buses operate every 15 minutes Monday to Saturday (on Saturday early morning services until 9:46am run every 20 minutes) and every 20 minutes on Sunday.

Park and ride bus fares
Parking on the site is completely free just buy your bus ticket from the driver on the park and ride bus.

The park and ride site is not intended for overnight parking. If your car is locked in after the site closes there may be a call out charge payable to the bus operator. In the event of your car being locked in, to retrieve your vehicle please contact Rotala Preston Bus LTD on 01772 253671.
