Creating, Amending and Ceasing Accounts

Request for access to LAS

E - Learning for New Users
Please note: All new users to LAS will need to complete the formal e-learning.
This request should be submitted by your line manager.
Your manager can request an e-learning account at the email address below:
Once the account has been set up the worker will receive an email with a link and login credentials.

Request for Access - New Member of Staff
All requests must be submitted by the line manager of the new member of staff.
This can be done via the Core Business Systems Support Tool using the Permission Change Request as Type, and New User Account as Category.
When requesting a LAS account please include the following information:

  • Name
  • Network Login
  • Email Address
  • Job Title
  • Team
  • Line manager's network login
  • Name of worker with same job role (profile)
  • Name of worker in the same department         

The request must confirm the user has successfully completed the E-Learning.  Failure to do this will result in the account not being set up until confirmation has been received.
This is essential as information that has not been provided will result in delays.

Customer Access LAS accounts

For customer access accounts please clearly state the request is for a member of the customer access team and the member of staff has successfully complete their e-learning.

Staff Moving to Another Post

If a member of staff moves to another position, there are other amendments that must be made 'in the background' by ICT.
Please submit your request via the Core Business Systems Support Tool
You will need to submit the following information:

  • Name
  • Network Login
  • Email Address
  • Old Job Title
  • Old Team
  • Former line manager's network login
  • New Job Title
  • New Team
  • Name of worker with same job role (profile)
  • Name of worker in the same department
  • New line manager's network login
  • Their line manager's network login

We suggest that you adopt the procedure of completing this form at the same time as you submit the Change Form to HR.

Ceasing a LAS Account

If a member of staff leaves, or moves to another post where they won't need access to the system, then their LAS account needs to be ceased by their line manager.

In addition to the request, the manager needs to reassign all the tasks from their workers work tray as an account cannot be ceased with active tasks left in the work tray.

If the person whose account is to be ceased is a manager or supervisor, please ensure these staff have had their new manager / supervisor recorded before requesting their account to be ceased.

Note: All involvements and active tasks have to be re-assigned before submitting this request.

Requesting ContrOCC accounts

Your manager will need to log a call via the Core Business Systems Support Tool to request a new / changed ContrOCC account.  You must include the following information in your call:

  • User Name:
  • Login ID:
  • Email Address:
  • Team:
  • Role:
    • Manager:
