This page gathers together the information on Lancashire Profile that is relevant to community cohesion.
Lancashire County Council's definition of community cohesion is:
"Community cohesion in Lancashire means people working together and respecting the differences in our society."
Over the last year the county council has achieved a great deal in developing services to build strong, cohesive communities whilst respecting differences. To find out more, see the Lancashire County Council Community Cohesion website.
Community cohesion is related to "People and Communities", one of seven themes contained in the Lancashire Local Area Agreement. Central government has set 198 priority measures for local government over the next few years, and selected indicators have been identified as priority areas under the People and Communities Theme.
