Specialist photography studio rebrand in focus

An established Lancashire-based specialist photography studio has rebranded to better showcase its impressive work as part of a move to bring in new business.

Flood, based at the historic India Mill in Darwen, were previously known as Lime Creative Studios Ltd.

They’ve rebranded, incorporating a new website, in order to showcase their work to a wider audience and are now looking at new ways to bring in more business.

They specialise in lifestyle photography for the business sector - such as fabric and furnishing, food and outdoor brands.

Niels Burgess, director at Flood, said: “From humble beginnings in a tiny studio in Blackburn, the business has steadily grown over the last 10 years. The rebrand has been the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate the achievement of working with some of the top brands and companies in the country. Working with the design council and its partners has meant the results are stunning, we are thrilled and have had an amazing response.”

The project with Creative Lancashire was part of the Design Council's Designing Demand Programme, which has now completed. It aimed to show companies the strategic importance of design in business planning and growth.

Organisations in Lancashire who took part came from a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, engineering and creative businesses.

An evaluation showed that businesses participating in the programme can typically expect to see a return of £20 for every pound they spend on design.

Creative Lancashire is a service provided by Lancashire County Council, through its economic development company Lancashire County Developments Ltd (LCDL). The Design Council partnership also covered the Blackburn with Darwen Council area.
