Photographs - Reproduction fees for photographs and illustrations
Where the purpose is ‘research for a non-commercial purpose or private study’, no reproduction fees will be charged; only one copy of the same image may be reproduced. (Exceptions to this are if the image is definitely out of copyright, or if the copyright belongs to Lancashire County Council Cultural Services and we are happy for more than one copy to be made).
Where images are reproduced for a purpose other than ‘research for a non-commercial purpose or private study’ (e.g. Commercial Use i.e. the image is to be used for an application that will/might make money for the customer), the fees below will apply. These fees relate to UK Rights only; for World Rights, double the figures below; fees for any rights additional to these are to be agreed by negotiation with Lancashire County Council's Cultural Services.
Please note that if the image is in copyright, written permission must be sought from the owner of the copyright before a copy can be made; also the owner of the copyright may charge a fee additional to our reproduction fee.
In all cases, an acknowledgement of the source of the image is required on the published item, e.g. “Reproduced by permission of Lancashire County Council's Cultural Services".
