Lancashire County Library and Information Service are pleased to announce the launch of Lantern wiCI - a new platform
for local groups and organisations to advertise their presence on the Web!
The Lantern WiCI database contains searchable contact details and information about hundreds of clubs, societies,
voluntary organisations and charitable groups, throughout Lancashire. These collections which are held and maintained by
local libraries have now being updated, using Talis Engage, allowing organisations
to submit their own details and individual members of the public to provide comments and suggestions, tag entries to add
richness to this resource.
The introduction of Lantern WiCI is part of the Lancashire Lantern, our Local Studies web resources platform. An events
database will be added shortly and the new system will provide improved searching options for Local Newspaper Indexes,
Genealogical resources, and much more.
