Advisory Order Form

Each school subscribing to the premium package is entitled to a half day of advisory support as part of their Service Level Agreement with the School Library Service. Our current support options are listed below.

Please select ONE from these options and return this form as soon as possible in the summer term to ensure that we can fulfil your advisory needs promptly.

Advisory visit options**

Exchange your advisory for 4 extra short term loans
SLS Awareness – An opportunity to update you and/or your staff on the range of services we provide to support reading and literacy in school
Library evaluation – recommendations for its improvement
Stock review – editing your library stock
Organising library resources – support to implement the “CodeCracker” classification scheme for non-fiction stock
Library Computerisation – advice and practical support for the “Junior Librarian” system
Library Planning – use our expertise to plan and furnish your library
Book Snacks– sessions introducing a range of new titles to encourage
wider reading. N.B. These sessions are aimed at class-sized groups of pupils
Library skills – small group sessions with pupils

All schools have the flexibility to exchange their short term loans for advisory support, subject to availability. If you would like to discuss this option please contact 01772 534042.
