your Lancashire

County Library and Information Service

How to join your local library

Anyone may join the Lancashire County Library and Information Service. You can join at any age and it’s FREE!

You can also download our welcome pack.

If you are unable to fill in this form online, simply visit any library and ask the staff – they will be pleased to help you. To find your nearest library, go to the library details pages.

If you are under 16 you can join the library by yourself – there is no need to get a parent/carer’s signature. We will send your parent/carer a letter to tell them about the services you are entitled to.

If you are a student or a member of staff at the University of Central Lancashire you do not need to apply to join as you can now use your UCLAN student card to borrow from all our libraries.

Once you have received your library membership card, you can use it at ANY library in Lancashire.

If you are already a library member and need to obtain your Pin number then you can find out how to here.
