You can search the library catalogue and make reservations from our stock of books, audio and spoken word, playaways, large print books, CDs, DVDs, local studies material and music scores. We hold stock in various community languages and dual language books suitable for children are also available. There are also a number of online resources available when you log in with your library card.
Our eBook and eAudio download library is a collection of fiction and non-fiction titles available for library members who have a Lancashire postcode to download anytime and anywhere.
Items available for loan can be requested online, by email, phone or in person at any library. If you are placing a reservation please be aware that a charge, per item, will be payable on collection. Some inter-library loans may incur a charge of £14.65 – if this applies you will be contacted before we proceed with your request. There is no charge for audio/visual items and some borrowers may be exempt from these charges and there is no charge for anyone under 18.
You can make a reservation by logging into your library account.
You can reserve a maximum of twenty items at any one time.
When a reservation has arrived at your library, you will be informed by whatever method you have nominated for your account (voicemail, text, email, etc.) and, if you log in to your account, you will see the reservation's status will have changed to 'Ready to collect'.
A loyalty card is available on request. Reserve five books and get the sixth one free.
The library service has an extensive collection of music and drama performance sets for choirs, orchestras and drama societies, all available on special loan. Even if we do not have what you want, we may be able to obtain it for you.
