Lancashire Archives Service collects unique, historic records that reflect Lancashire and Lancashire life - past and present.

The documents we hold come from organisations and individuals throughout Lancashire and elsewhere. We are able to provide free of charge secure, air-conditioned storage, which has been specially designed for the permanent preservation of documents. Documents may also be cleaned, repackaged, or repaired to ensure their longevity.

Records held by Lancashire Archives are available to the public for research purposes free of charge. In some cases, access restrictions may be applied for a set time period if the information contained in the records is sensitive or confidential, i.e. diaries, hospital records, correspondence etc.

If you have documents you feel might be of interest, please contact Lancashire Archives for further information and a tour of our facilities.
