Summary (for 2011 Census)

The Lancashire-14 area had 313,767 dependent children living in 176,528 families on the day of the census: March 27^th 2011. 28.6% of households were families with dependent children (England and Wales=29.0%).     

At the local authority level, rates varied between a high of 35.1% in Blackburn with Darwen to just 23.3% in Fylde.
