The customer service role

As a customer service advisor you could be speaking to customers on the phone, responding to their emails or even engaging with them via social media.  

We require:

  • your ability to build a rapport with a variety of people
  • a desire to deliver an excellent experience, and
  • your enthusiasm to do a great job while living our values

Hours of work

Our opening hours are:

  • 8:00am – 8:00pm Monday to Friday
  • 9:00am – 7:00pm Saturday and Sunday

We offer a range of shift patterns for both full and part time staff.

We provide excellent career progression.  In the last 12 months, over 50 members of our staff have received a promotion.

Many customer service advisors who have shown the right attitude and behaviour, have moved on to new roles within the service. These have ranged from team leaders, information officers, resource planners and technical support officers, to name a few.

Ali worked as customer service advisor in social care for 2 years.  He was promoted in April 2016 to technical support officer.

Daniel worked as a resource planning officer for 3 years before being promoted to resource planning manager in April this year.

Stef was a customer service advisor in social care for 6 years. She was promoted to resource planning manager in August 2016.

Hannah has worked as a customer service advisor in social care for the last 4 years.  She was promoted to team leader in social care in February this year.

Khalil has been a multi-skilled customer service advisor for 5 years. In April this year he was promoted to team leader.

Sarah was a customer service advisor in social care for 4 years.  She was promoted to Information and Training Manager in July this year.

Our Customer Access Service is located in Accrington, near to the Globe Centre.  We have excellent transport links.

We are located just minutes from Accrington Train Station and less than 5 minutes from the M65.

We are also within easy reach of many local shops and cafes, with Accrington town centre just a couple of minutes stroll away.
