Safety Advice

One of the important functions that The Accident Investigation Team carry out is to give up to date road safety advice to other sections within the Environment Directorate or to other authorities who carry out works on the Highway. A great deal of this advice is based on the experience of the team members through the many studies undertaken over the years. However, reference is frequently made to documents and leaflets published by the Department for Transport (DfT) and Academic Institutions. Several of these are available on the Internet and the links below will take you to some of the more common sources of advice given.
