  • Parents to accept responsibility for parking safely and appropriately in and around the school site.

Journeys

  • All designated teachers driving the school minibus will have completed 'MiDAS' - The Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme.
  • When travelling in the school minibus or in staff/parents vehicles, pupils will wear seatbelts at all times.
  • The school minibus will be serviced at intervals recommended by the manufacturer.
  • All children will be encouraged to wear high visibility clothing on their journey to and from school.
  • Children should identify and adopt safe routes to school.
  • All pupils cycling to school must wear helmets and protective clothing.
  • School will provide safe storage for cycles and helmets.
  • Children will be encouraged to complete Lancashire County Council's Passport to Safer Cycling Scheme.
  • Coaches hired for the purpose of school trips/journeys must have seat belts fitted.
