3 Delivering Value for Money

Introduction

This section sets out the process by which we have developed the five year programme to deliver the objectives of the Local Transport Plan and contribute to our long term strategy ‘Ambition Lancashire’, including an explanation of;

• how the forecast funding will be spent
• how added value will be achieved if we are rewarded additional funding
• how non-LTP funding will complement LTP capital funds to deliver LTP objectives
• information on the submission under the Transport Innovation Fund (TIF) to develop innovative projects to tackle congestion in Preston
• how we will achieve value for money in our spending programme
• a five year programme for integrated transport and maintenance.
