Welcome to Environment Policy & Projects

Lancashire County Council has a key role in promoting environmental sustainability across the county. The Environment Policy and Projects Group aims to support this role by working to ensure environmental sustainability is at the heart of all council policy and activity. We want to raise awareness of climate change and other environment issues amongst people in Lancashire and we also work closely with other agencies across the county to encourage close joint working on these issues. The group is currently leading on LCC's climate change activity and is also responsible for the environment themes in Lancashire's Local Area Agreement. We contribute to the county council's corporate priority of helping people in Lancashire to enjoy a high quality environment.
