Walton-le-Dale Park & Ride

The County Council's Park and Ride Car Park and associated highway improvements at Walton-le-Dale are part of a package of measures known as the M65 Interface Improvements.

The aim of the improvements is to reduce the impact of additional traffic resulting from the completion of the M65. The scheme is also strongly associated with the objectives of the Preston and South Ribble Transport Package, the aims of which include the promotion of alternative methods of transport in Preston and the surrounding area and the reduction of peak hour traffic entering central Preston to 1991 levels.
