A Planning Application for the Completion of Heysham to M6 link was submitted on the 14th December 2005.

Objections and comments were received during the consultation period. Lancashire County Council originally produced a document in June 2006 'Planning Application: Response to Objections and Comments' which gave a response to the majority of these. Some of the outstanding issues raised have now also been resolved and so it has been necessary to alter the Planning Application Plan and produce the 'Revised Planning Application Report (September 2006)'.

Copies will be deposited at Morecambe Library, Lancaster Library and at Palatine Hall (Dalton Square).
