What is Carnforth Connect?
Carnforth Connect is the name given to the integrated transport project serving North Lancashire and parts of South Cumbria.
Carnforth Connect offers three bus services that travel throughout the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The Line 1 service runs regularly Monday-Saturday from Carnforth Railway Station to Milnthorpe Square. The service connects with rail services to and from Carnforth Station. The Silverdale Shuttle is a regular local bus service providing a connection from Silverdale village to Silverdale Railway Station. The Bittern Bus is a Sunday service travelling from Lancaster and Carnforth right through the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), and also offers a railway link up with Carnforth Railway Station.
In addition, the Carnforth Connect office co-ordinates the operation of the Carnforth Connect bus services, provides information about all local bus and rail services and sells the full range of national rail tickets and railcards. The Carnforth Connect and Bittern Bus services are operated on behalf of Carnforth & Area Regeneration Partnership Limited and the Silverdale Shuttle is operated on behalf of Lancashire County Council
