Youth Offending Team
Lancashire Youth Offending Team has a commitment to developing all staff including casual workers and volunteers.
Regular staff development events are held to enhance skills and professional growth. Training and development events range from IT skills training to professional practice issues aligned with Youth Justice Board (YJB) Human Resource Strategy.
Action Learning Sets have been established to enable practitioners to share good practice and implement improvement actions across the county. Seconded staff return to their agency with new additional skills and knowledge developed within this unique multi agency environment.
'Organisational as well as individual development' (Senge, 1990) is the goal where the organisation can change and adapt to new ideas to meet organisational objectives. The contribution of staff to these objectives is viewed as crucial. The value placed on staff development is reflected by Lancashire Youth Offending Team achieving Investors in People (IIP) accreditation.
