The Lancashire Criminal Justice Board (LCJB)

The Lancashire Criminal Justice Board (LCJB) was established in April 2003 to improve the local delivery of criminal justice. The Board consists of local chief officers from the following criminal justice organisations:

  • Lancashire Constabulary
  • Crown Prosecution Service (CPS)
  • Her Majesty's Court Service
  • Lancashire Youth Offending Team
  • National Offender Management Service - (consisting of National Probation Service, Lancashire & HM Prison Service, Preston)
  • Victim Support Lancashire

Together with:-

  • Director of Public Health for the North Lancashire PCT, representing the NHS
  • Criminal Defence Service Manager, Legal Services Commission

with strong and effective links to:-

  • The Strategic Crime Reduction Board
  • Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships

The Lancashire Criminal Justice Board holds monthly meetings and have asked that all CJS agencies be provided with a brief resume of the issues discussed each month.
