When to apply

We have re-opened for Secondary shortage subjects (Maths, Science, ICT, DT, Music, MFL, RE) for September 2010. The extended closing date for applications will be 12noon on 18 March 2010.

Applications for Primary and Secondary non-shortage subjects (English, Dance, Drama, History and PE) have now closed. The next intake will be September 2011. Details of the application process for this round will be published on the website during Autumn 2010.

Primary applicants please note:

  • All Primary applicants must already have had their degree awarded prior to the closing date of 31 January 2010 to be eligible to apply for this round.
  • In addition to the assessment for English, Primary applicants are also required to complete an assessment in Mathematics .  The assessment is designed to assure the Consortium and the school that the candidate has the level of competence required to achieve at least level 5 in the Primary Curriculum

Secondary PE applicants please note: Due to the high number of applications we have received for PE in past rounds we can no longer consider anyone whose degree is not awarded prior to the closing date and require applicants to have gained substantial experience within a Secondary PE department.  Please read the attached: Additional Guidance and Requirements for PE applicants
